I read this today.

Ireland Is Lost Island of Atlantis, Says Scientist

According to this guy, the stuff that Plato wrote about Atlantis was mixed up with data about Ireland.

This, for me, answers a lot of questions.

At least now I know why the Sub-Mariner is always so cranky. He's not morally ambiguous…he's just drunk and surly.

You see, the Sub-Mariner of comics fame is actually the Prince of Atlantis and...oh never mind.
