Happy Anniversary To Me.

I just realized that my one-year anniversary passed, and I failed to mark it at all.

I sent my first "Naked Critic" review out on July 30, 2003.

In that time, I've managed to review almost 70 movie and DVD reviews for you guys.

Dealing out cinematic justice with my mouse for over a year!

Now, for those of you who don't know the history of this little endeavor of mine, it's pretty interesting. It all started with my Gigli review. I sent out a review to about a dozen of my closest friends. See, I review movies at Day Job, which is a pretty sweet gig. But I've always been held back by the fact that I have a word-count limit, editorial policies to adhere to, that sort of thing. So, I wanted to break free from my confines. I figured I'd send out longer, brutally honest reviews of these movies to some of my friends as a lark.

A few days later, I was SHOCKED to find that I had over 150 subscribers to the list I'd set up…the list that had started as 12. People forwarded it on, and on, and on…it just exploded out of nowhere.

So now, I get a couple thousand hits on the site per review. Not stellar, by any stretch of the imagination, but enough to keep me going. I'm having the time of my life, and I hope I can keep doing this as long as possible.
