So I'm sitting at home, watching my beloved Maple Leafs on their way to losing a heartbreaking Game 6 to the hated Ottawa Senators.

The Agony Of Defeat

The score is 1-1, and it's the first overtime period. Next goal wins. Things are tense. Goldilocks calls me.

GL: Hey, what are you doing?
NC: Watching the game.
GL: Oh yeah? How's that going?
NC: It's crazy. It's in overtime.
GL: Who's winning?

Pause.

NC: The Cubs.
GL: Oh...what's the sco...wait a minute, you're making fun of me, aren't you?

Pause.

NC: No. No I'm not.

NC: Hello? Hello?

So I don't think Goldilocks is very happy with me. On the plus side, I got a bit out of it. So I've got that going for me, which is nice...
